Christmas

I have had a great Christmas week. We have been doing plenty of finding, teaching, and baptizing. As we travel by combi, legs, or bus, the Lord has blessed us to encounter people to share the gospel with. As we teach in lessons, we are sure to hit hard that people need to do three things: read the Book of Mormon, pray to know of its truth, and go to church. Those, and receiving the lessons, are the bare minimum requirements for baptism, but they are also essential steps in the Doctrine of Christ in order to grow spiritually. We all need to follow these steps.

Among the many people we have taught, Iram, Grecia, and Ernesto have been a pretty big focus. Despite it being difficult to get the signature for Ernesto to get baptized because their parents are in prison, it all worked out and we baptized them this last friday.

We got locked out of our apartment last night (christmas eve) because we left our keys inside and everyone's houses here lock automatically. My companion climbed to the balcony to get in through the balcony door, but it was also locked, so he was stuck up there and I had to climb on the neighbor's roof, with their permission, and climb through the back window to get inside.

Then our neighbors randomly offered us a pitcher of ponche and extra cake from the night before. The members really like feeding us.

Today I bought a watch and some flip flops for wearing around the house and showering. It felt like a lot to spent 500 pesos ($25) in one day.

Sorry this one is so short, I had to leave to go on exchanges with the Zone Leaders.

Love ya'll!
